Training of trainers

In April 2011, Ruian International Hotel carried out the first training of trainers after renovation and upgrading. The purpose of this training is to train more hotel trainers, enrich the team of hotel trainers, improve the training level and strength of the hotel.

The training was divided into two parts. More than 20 foremen and supervisors of each department were organized to attend the training, which was held in the conference room on the fourth floor on April 19th and 20th respectively. In the first part, I explained the training process of trainers and matters that should be paid attention to in the course of lectures to the participants through PPT demonstration, and explained in detail the teaching instructions and the mental state of the interaction with students in the course of lectures. After everyone listened carefully, I made a task assignment for the next day's course, requiring the present personnel to prepare lecture materials, the next day group sent representatives to lecture, the movement of today's theoretical knowledge combined with practical operation.

The second part of the practical class was held in the International Hall. The meeting room was arranged as a discussion group. The on-site staff were divided into five groups. After the positions of the groups were assigned, the discussion began. After 25 minutes of preparation, each group decided on the presentation and the content of the lecture. The representatives of the five groups are Xian Liqiang, Head Concierge of Front Office Department, Chen Ying, Head Concierge of Food and Beverage Department, Peng Xionghui, Floor Supervisor Yu Lingling of Housekeeping Department, and Long Xiaojun, Head Public Health Group.

All the delegates worked very hard to complete the lectures, with professional skills and theories and full preparation. However, some problems occurred during the lectures, such as too heavy tone of voice, irregular wording, lack of seriousness, lack of consideration for details and lack of flexibility in form. After one by one comments and other team members' comments and suggestions, all representatives accepted the opinions humbly and indicated that they would continue to improve.

The first training course for trainers ended in a harmonious atmosphere. We felt that we had a new experience and understanding of the training. We hope to create more trainers through more training courses to make the hotel's training team more and more powerful.
